For continuing students (2nd+ year of an undergraduate program, or any year of a professional/after-degree program) at eligible Alberta public post-secondary institutions; requires 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and at least 80% of a full course load in the prior fall/winter terms; Canadian citizen/permanent resident/protected person with a valid SIN; must meet Alberta residency criteria. NOT a student-submitted application to the province — the institution's Student Awards Office nominates eligible students to Alberta Student Aid (nomination deadlines Oct 31 fall term / Jan 31 winter term; supporting documentation due Mar 1). Ineligible for the same period of study as a Louise McKinney Scholarship recipient (Louise McKinney is a separate Alberta award not present as a uid in this catalog, so it was not added to incompatible_with per the instructions). Lifetime maximum of three awards.
