Open to Alberta Métis citizens/members: Otipemisiwak Métis Government (formerly Métis Nation of Alberta) citizenship or Métis Settlement membership (proof of application accepted if not yet confirmed). Requires Alberta residence and Canadian citizenship. Priority is given to students entering their first year of post-secondary education. Supports Years 1-4 of certificate/diploma/undergraduate study, plus a limited number of graduate/professional awards. Studies outside Alberta are eligible but deprioritized versus in-Alberta study. Requires a detailed financial-need/budget plan, one reference (max two), and recent marks/transcript.
