Conditions worth reading twice
Incoming freshman, graduate of the current class from an Idaho public/charter/private school, homeschool, or GED program (under age 21 by April 15; GED must be completed by June 15), Idaho resident, must declare and stay in one of Idaho's published 'in-demand career' majors (declared BYU-Idaho major must match the LAUNCH portal major), and start the fall immediately after graduation. Apply via Scholarship Idaho (opens Oct 1, priority Nov 30, closes April 15) and complete the Career Pathway Plan in Next Steps Idaho by May 31. Since 2025-26, a student may take Idaho LAUNCH OR the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship, not both.
